Obituary for Antoinette "Nate" Miller (Sciorilli)

Antoinette "Nate" Miller (Sciorilli)
Antoinette “Nate” Miller, 85, of Rome, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rome on September 13, 1932 to the late Sebastian and Mary Catherine (Rondinelli) Sciorilli, Nate was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. She was married to the late Ronald “Dreamy” Miller for 52 years. Nate worked as a supervisor for the base supply at Griffiss AFB.

She enjoyed traveling, especially her annual trips to Las Vegas with her husband, and was an avid participant in bowling and bocce. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Nate is survived by her children, Frederick J. (Jan) Miller, Rhonda A. (Victor) Carucci, Judy L. (James) Theall, MaryKay (David) Phillips, and Nancy A. (Brian) Kelley; her grandchildren, Megan (Christopher) Hanrahan, James (Andrea) Theall III, Kristen (Larry) Cronyn, Tia (Thomas Rudd) Theall, Lindsay (Ryan) Gorman, Jade Theall, Danielle (Wayne) Towne, Michael Phillips, Patrick and Brianna Kelley; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Amelia Sciorilli; and a brother-in-law, Dominick Testa. She was predeceased by a brother, Dominick Sciorilli; and three sisters, Vicky (Skip) Scaccia, Fannie Testa, and Josephine (Cosmo) Perugia.

Nate's family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bethany Gardens for the incredible care they gave her for the past eight months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. John the Baptist, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
